This learning course provides an overview, general understanding and experience in the use of social media in healthcare. The risks of HIPAA breaches in the use of social media in healthcare are explored and the proper way to use social media is presented.
The objective of this course is to educate healthcare workers on the risks of using social media in healthcare settings. It provides a number of scenarios for discussion and presents knowledge to help ensure healthcare workers are aware of the pitfalls of posting information about their work on social media.
